Look good, but don't fit as well. It is a different type of short than the referee short - more like a coaches short.

I use it for football....HS & pop warner in CA PROS: reasonable price material: excellent polyester, lite weight length: perfect..goes to just above knee which is today's standard length belt loops: outstanding wide loops in back and on sides; perfect for football since we are constantly bending to pick up or place down the football back pockets: nice looking squared off flap on left back; right has no flap allowing penalty flag withdrawal, if that's your style zippers & snaps: standard front pockets: slash type, deep, works for me CONS: the only negative are the back pockets: not wide enough nor deep enough extremely difficult to pull penalty flag from mini-size back right pocket left flap pocket is the same size and does not accommodate any misc. paperwork that may need to be carried not to mention plastic signal/penalty enforcement cards

The first time I wore the shorts, they ripped in the seat. It appears that while they were double stitched, both stitches missed about 1/2 inch of material. Also, the pockets are very low and very long. Not Happy... RJB
