These football pants' snaps are improperly spaced on the waist band, making them unable to match up with snap-in pads. These Pants work well worn with football girdles or as scrimmage pants or with pads if you're capable of re-positioning them.

My son has a girdle for football and I purchased the pants for practice. The material is very thick and I didn't care about the snaps. My son will out grow the pants before he wares them out.

Football pants are great! I know it was a closeout item, but I did not have any issues with any of the football pant product that I purchased.
